Modular Sound Studio Features:
|
Single-Source Responsibility
In conventional construction it is necessary to separately design,
manufacture and control all elements of a room. With modular booths,
all aspects of construction are provided by IAC including:
Wall, ceiling and floor construction to isolate the room against noise.
Vibration isolation to prevent structural noise transmission.
Ventilation system with adequate airflow and proper attenuation
Soundproof doors compatible with acoustics performance with the walls, floors and ceilings
Soundproof windows with unobstructed visibility
Electrical penetrations acoustically sealed.
Internal sound absorption to assure the required reverberation time, or times.
Custom Design
Our booths are custom designed for the application. Additionally,
they are manufactured on a standardized line that specializes in producing
several thousand similar rooms each year. Quality control is assured
and many examples of such studios can be found in this country and
around the world. |
|
Space Saving
Our studios require only 4" thick walls. Using conventional construction,
a 12" thick wall would be required to achieve equal acoustic performance.
Additionally, with the use of Accu-tone's custom acoustic panels,
conventional construction would require and additional 3" layer of
absorptive material added to the basic 12" wall thickness for equal
acoustic performance.
Installation
The assembly of our modular sound studios at the site is a clean operation.
No need to cut sheetrock, handle fiberglass or pour concrete; which
significantly reduces the assembly and commission time periods.
Relocatable
Our sound studios and booths are designed to be relocated and modified
after initial installation without the loss of acoustic performance,
saving owners time and money.
Guaranteed Performance
IAC's well proven modular approach combines custom design with standardized manufacturing to provide guaranteed acoustic performance and vibration control. All elements are acoustically tested at IAC's own test facilities in New York.
|
Testing
All our modular room components have been tested for
sound transmission loss, sound absorption, and radio frequency attenuation
to demonstrate compliance with NSA 65-6 TEMPEST and DIAM 50-3 specifications
in the fully equipped IAC laboratories at engineering headquarters
New York City. This 12,000 square foot facility includes two reverberation
rooms, a wind tunnel, several quiet rooms, an RF shielded test room,
door and operable-wall cycling facilities, impedance tunnels and tubes,
plus other test equipment including a full range of RF shielding test
instruments for laboratory and field use.
